ERA is a residential complex by a high-end real estate brand. It combines sophisticated architecture with advanced amenities and a magnificent location. We had a vision for a website that would be a truly emotional and immersive experience. The aim was to make ERA look exceptional, but affordable enough to appeal to the upper middle class.

Our experience in web design and development services shows that communicating strategy is crucial for a modern property website. As part of our marketing research, we interviewed the project stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the brand.

We helped ERA articulate its core brand benefit — the joy of living in a rich cultural environment. The Art Deco essence of ERA’s architecture evokes Gatsbian hedonism and celebration of everyday life. ERA customers appreciate the symbolic value of an intellectual lifestyle no less than the coziness of a family home. Our goal was to translate these benefits and values into an exceptional digital experience. We achieved this by balancing best practices in real estate web design with fresh creative solutions.

The stunning splash screen with innovative WebGL animations is groundbreaking for a high-end residential property website. Glowing building silhouettes echo the project’s tagline — The Dawn of a New Era. Five layers of animated 3D models create an emotionally engaging visual experience from the very first seconds.

WebGL is an API for rendering 3D objects directly in a browser — essential for adding visual depth to a website. Despite their high resource demands, dynamic 3D graphics must not compromise website performance. By striking a balance between performance and interactivity, we have achieved exceptional levels of engagement.

Immersive WebGL enables interactive effects, including flowing light trails, volumetric galleries and parallax. These features blend entertainment with refined aesthetics, delivering a 3D website experience that captures the essence of ERA.

At the heart of the site is a custom interactive 3D map of the area, also built with WebGL. We recreated the real-world layout as an animated model, highlighting key landmarks and points of interest. This spectacular feature — rarely seen on real estate websites — gives users a vivid, intuitive sense of place, transforming a static plan into a dynamic urban fragment.

Even the most pragmatic features of the site are elegant and impressive. A visual apartment selector is a mesmerizing tool providing 3D real estate visualization for users to explore residences. The parametric apartment selector design is also aesthetically pleasing and highly convenient. Both tools increase the user's emotional involvement while providing efficient solutions.

The ERA website combines visual storytelling with practical promotional functionality. Emotionally driven narratives guide users intuitively through the content, while rich cultural context adds symbolic value to the project. Immersive 3D features, including the interactive map built with WebGL, give UX a whole new dimension. 

ERA marked a true breakthrough in luxury real estate website design. It has been named Site of the Day at three major global web design festivals: FWA, CSSDA and Awwwards.
