This is a rare occurrence in life, and one that deserves great respect. Among the myriad of design competitions, Awwwards stands out for its attentive and responsible approach, which determines the highest quality of the winning entries. Winning Site of the Day at Awwwards is the ultimate accolade. Being ranked among the top agencies in the world according to them is an incredible achievement.

Awwwards nominated Vide Infra for Agency of the Year. They selected thirty agencies from around the world, and we are on that list. Awwwards is one of the most prestigious global competitions in the field of websites. A jury of recognized industry experts evaluates projects based on design, usability, creativity, and content. Getting on the shortlist of top web design agencies here is not a matter of marketing or connections. It is a real indicator of quality, for which the platform is responsible with its reputation. Awwwards considers its mission to be the selection of the best web design companies in the world.

Four projects received the Site of the Day award, which is a record number for us on Awwwards. And in 2026, our Follow.art project won a Webby Award — one of the most respected international honors for digital excellence. Works that have received web design awards help us grow and understand that we are moving in the right direction.

Projects Behind the Nomination

ERA: Website Design for Luxury Real Estate With Immersive Technologies

ERA is a residential complex by a premium developer, where Art Deco architecture meets one of the best locations in the city. The question was how to convey this impression through the screen.

In order for the website to convey the atmosphere, rather than simply listing luxury advantages, we had to work hard on the strategy. The complex had to look exclusive, but not scare away the upper-middle-class audience.

One of the key decisions we made was to build an interactive 3D map of the area on WebGL in the center of the website. Not a diagram, but a live animated fragment of the city with landmarks and points of interest. This is extremely rare on real estate websites. The first screen features five layers of animated 3D models, glowing silhouettes of buildings that echo the slogan “Dawn of a New Era.” From the very first seconds, such techniques set the tone for a narrative that you want to immerse yourself in.

But it's not just about special effects. Every element of the site, from the aesthetic web design to the parametric apartment selector, balances emotion and function. The experience is built on UX storytelling: narratives guide the user through the content in such a way that they don't notice how deeply they are becoming involved.

ERA was a breakthrough for us in the design of luxury real estate websites — and one of the most striking examples of interactive web design in this category. Site of the Day at three festivals at once — Awwwards, CSSDA, and FWA. A triple crown we are truly proud of.

Silver Pinewood Residences: Elegant Web Design in the Style of Quiet Luxury

With Silver Pinewood, we had a different task. The concept of the project was quiet luxury, understated elegance without fanfare. It was a beautiful idea that required an equally beautiful visual embodiment.

We developed a web design strategy that transformed disparate visual materials into a cohesive storytelling experience. Pastel colors, layered compositions, and a gentle scrolling rhythm create a visual language that echoes the architectural geometry of the complex. This is elegant web design in its purest form: every detail supports the brand, nothing is superfluous.

We are particularly proud of the WebGL animation of the sculpture in the residence lobby. It is not just a beautiful 3D effect, but a metaphor: timeless aesthetics and confidence in interactive volume. Most importantly, it is optimized for smooth operation on any device. The entire experience of premium website design is built in such a way that a potential buyer should instinctively understand: if the website is made at this level, the product behind it is worth the price.

And it is precisely in this project that the branding of luxury real estate has been fully revealed — the website does not try to sell faster, it immerses you in the rhythm of the brand and leads you to a decision. Together with ERA, this project has cemented our reputation in the design of luxury real estate websites. Awwwards Site of the Day, CSSDA Website of the Day.

Madar: Website Design for a Startup With Global Ambitions

Madar is changing the rules of logistics in the Persian Gulf and preparing for international expansion. The product automates freight transportation for large businesses. The audience is conservative corporate clients. The brief required a world-class corporate website design that would explain a complex B2B product in a simple yet impressive way.

This is not an easy combination. We started with a series of workshops and in-depth market analysis, building a web design strategy where each element of the website is linked to a specific business goal.

The core of the website is 3D storytelling built around the concept of a journey. The journey is a graphic technique in animation, a metaphor for the key product—logistics—and the user's route through the site from introduction to decision. Such an energetic and modern presentation required close collaboration between the creative and development teams. Next came a detailed product description, case studies, and a company page. The logic is simple: engage emotionally, convince with arguments.

There was little source branding material. We took the basic colors and motifs and built a complete visual system out of them — this is what website design for startups looks like when the client's ambitions meet our attention to detail and craftsmanship.

The result: Site of the Day from Awwwards, CSSDA, and FWA. Proof that our approach as a branding agency for startups — a synthesis of strategy and beauty — helps new players compete with the biggest names.

Follow.art: Web Design for a Startup Changing the Art World

Follow.art is a project that started as an art marketplace and turned into something much more ambitious. The team consists of curators and artists who are tired of the closed nature of the art industry and the struggle with social media algorithms. Their goal is to create a space for direct contact and collaboration. Without unnecessary barriers.

Our expertise in web design for startups helped turn the initial idea into a clear vision. Follow.art is an example of how a well-thought-out website design strategy for a startup can cover the entire cycle: from brand strategy to the development of a complex digital product. We worked out the mission, values, unique proposition, and pain points of the target audience. This gave rise to a visual identity that is bright, rebellious, with expressive typography, 3D animation, and rich colors. The landing page is built on storytelling: complex brand ideas are conveyed in simple language.

But Follow.art is not just a promotional website. We have developed a full-fledged social network that has everything you need: a digital business card, a catalog of professionals with search and filters, collaboration functionality, and a platform blog. A holistic ecosystem that proves that the best web design company is not about beautiful websites and pictures, but about products that change the industry.

That combination — visual excellence in service of a working product — is what earned international recognition: in 2026, Follow.art won a Webby Award in the Best Visual Design – Function category. The award is decided by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, and it confirms what we believe: design matters when it serves the product, not the other way around.

Our Approach: Why Strategy Comes First

Four completely different projects — luxury real estate, SaaS logistics, art networking. Different audiences, different tasks, different markets. But they have something in common: none of them started with design. They all started with strategy. This is perhaps what distinguishes the best web design agencies from simply good studios.

I often hear clients ask me to “make a beautiful website.” But there is no such thing as a universally beautiful website. Style, aesthetics, creativity — it all depends on the task and category. What people usually mean by beauty is the moment when the semantic, aesthetic, and creative components come together into a whole. When it is not a single element that impresses, but the elegance of thought, external form, and execution together. This effect is projected in the client's mind onto the product or company, creating inspiration, trust, and a sense of value. At least, that's how we at Vide Infra see our task — and that's how a true digital brand experience works.

That's why our process is structured in a certain way. Before the first mock-up, we conduct research: interviews with stakeholders, market analysis, brand workshops. First, the communication strategy and key brand advantage. Then design. WebGL, 3D animation, immersive storytelling — these are not decorations or an end in themselves. They are tools. When they serve the strategy, projects make it into lists of the most beautiful websites in the world. When they are used for effect — they don't.

The result is work we are proud of. Projects receive awards not for visual noise, but for communicating, engaging, and delivering results to clients. This is our understanding of creative web design — and the reason why we are consistently included in lists of top web design agencies.

How to Choose a World-Class Web Design Agency

Hundreds of studios call themselves the best. The problem is that a beautiful portfolio tells you almost nothing. Anyone can assemble a striking showreel from their best shots. The difference between a good studio and a world-class agency shows up not in the pictures, but in things you can actually verify — and you can check them yourself, without taking the agency's word for it.

Below are the criteria worth choosing by, the platforms where any claim can be tested, and the red flags that give a weak agency away.

What Separates a Top Agency From a Merely Good Studio

Strategy before design. Strong projects don't start with a mockup. An agency that opens Figma and starts making things "pretty" right away is selling you decoration. A world-class agency first answers the question of why the site exists and what it needs to change in the visitor's mind. None of our award-winning projects started with design. Every one started with strategy.

An in-house team, not outsourcing. Real caliber shows where creative and development work in close step under one roof. When design goes to one contractor and the build to another, complex interactive solutions either don't survive to launch or arrive in a watered-down form. Immersive effects, 3D, and non-standard animation require designers and developers thinking together from day one. Ask directly: who does the development — the agency's own team, or subcontractors?

Technical depth as a barrier to entry. WebGL, 3D scenes, immersive storytelling — these aren't decoration, they're a threshold that filters out template studios. A live animated 3D map of a neighborhood, or a WebGL scene that runs smoothly on any device, is rare on the web precisely because few can do it well. If an agency is capable of that — and does it with purpose, in service of the task rather than for effect — that's a strong signal of its level.

Originality that comes from understanding the product, not from fashion. What sets a strong agency apart is design built on original ideas that grow out of a real understanding of the product — not secondary touches borrowed because they happen to be in fashion. A trend bolted on from the outside always shows: it decorates, but it solves nothing. Making a striking image isn't hard — you see it done well everywhere; finding an original solution that fits this particular business is the part that takes real skill. The real mark of quality is where creativity and function balance out, so the result feels distinctive and serious at once, built for the goal rather than to entertain.

Vertical specialization. "We do everything" almost always means "we do nothing at an outstanding level." A strong agency shows real depth in specific segments — luxury real estate, startups, premium e-commerce — where it understands the audience, their language, and what separates good from outstanding. That kind of specialization is where the difference between solid and world-class becomes visible to the naked eye.

Where to Verify It: The Platforms That Serve as a Litmus Test

The key advantage of independent platforms is that they stake their own reputation on the selection — you can't get in through marketing or connections. That makes them the most reliable way to check an agency without relying on its own words.

Awwwards has projects judged by a jury of recognized experts on design, usability, creativity, and content. Site of the Day is considered the ultimate accolade here, and a place on the shortlist of top agencies reflects the real caliber of the work, not a marketing budget.

FWA and CSSDA validate technical execution and design as a discipline. When a single project takes Site of the Day across several platforms at once, it tells you the work is strong not in one dimension but in all of them — from idea to code.

The Webby Awards stand apart in the nature of their jury: winners are chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, whose members come from tech, media, and the creative industries. The Webbys assess not just execution but the overall quality of the digital experience and its relevance — the Best Visual Design – Function category goes to projects where visual excellence works in service of function, not the other way around.

Red Dot is recognition of design at the level of an international discipline, beyond the narrow context of the web.

Clutch and similar platforms offer verified client reviews and transparency of process. What gets tested here isn't the creative work but what it's actually like to work with the agency.

How to use this: take any agency on your shortlist and check it against these platforms directly. Are there awards, for which projects, and are the reviews verified? Real achievements are easy to find. Claims with no trace on independent platforms are a reason to keep looking.

Red Flags: How to Spot a Weak Agency

  • Templates dressed up as custom work. If a "unique design" has a stock theme showing it, you're paying to configure someone else's work rather than build something of your own.
  • A portfolio with no live links. Nothing but renders and images, with no links to working sites, often means there's nothing worth showing in action.
  • No named clients or case studies. Anonymous "major brands" with no specifics and no description of the task means nothing can be verified.
  • Outsourced development. If an agency doesn't control production, complex solutions almost always degrade somewhere between the mockup and the release.
  • No trace on independent platforms. No awards and no verified reviews means the only source of information about the agency's level is the agency itself.

What Do Top Web Design Agencies Charge?

The short answer: at agencies of this level you won't find a price list — and that's not a gimmick, it's a consequence of how the work is done.

Fixed price tags and hourly rates exist where the service is standardized and predictable. A premium project is different by definition: before it starts, no one — not the agency, not the client — knows exactly how much it will take, because the scope depends on the strategy, and the strategy only emerges once the work is underway. Quoting an "average price" would mean averaging things that can't be compared: a landing page for a startup and an immersive site for a luxury developer with a WebGL neighborhood map aren't one service at different prices — they're different tasks entirely.

That's why the approach is always bespoke. The cost comes from the specifics of the project: the depth of strategic work, the complexity of design and animation, the volume of development, the integrations, the timeline. An agency that names a price before it understands the task is either selling a template or padding the number just in case. Neither is in the client's interest.

Here's how it works in practice: the conversation starts not with a price but with the task. First, what the business needs and what the site has to achieve; then an estimate of scope for that specific goal; and only then a quote that reflects the real scale of the work. That way you pay to solve your problem — not for a number someone invented before they understood what the problem was.

What’s Next

The Awwwards nomination is confirmation of our position, not the finish line. Becoming Agency of the Year is a goal that every serious agency in our niche strives for.

In 2026, we are deepening our work in three areas where top-class design creates maximum value. The first is startups. The right website design for a startup determines whether the project will be noticed by users, investors, and partners — or remain just another landing page that will fade into obscurity. The second is the premium segment. Website design for luxury brands is not just a showcase, but an environment in which people can gauge the level of the company even before their first contact with the product. And if it's e-commerce, the store should feel like a boutique: e-commerce design for luxury brands sells not a product, but an experience.

All three areas have one thing in common: here, the difference between good and outstanding must be visible to the naked eye, and this is where our approach works best.
